Hotwife stories are the archive’s strongest section after Family, and the shortest: under four chapters on average, against five or more nearly everywhere else. That is not an accident of supply. The premise turns on a single evening or a single trip, and the thread exists so that one person can narrate it to another in something close to real time.

It makes for the purest use of the format on the site. The reader is not watching events, they are watching a report of events; delayed, partial, and shaped by what the sender chooses to include. A gap between messages is information. So is a reply that answers the previous message but not the one before it. Several of the best-rated hotwife sexting stories here never show the scene at all, and are better for it.

Expect a lot of two- and three-chapter entries you can finish in a sitting. The handful of long-running serials in this category are the exception, and they tend to be the ones that shift the narration partway through; from the person out to the person waiting, which is a different story told with the same messages.
