Hi all,

One of my stories, which I shall not name so that I won't ruin the surprise, could have a sad ending. Possibly the boy does not get the girl. Possibly the girl or boy ends up suffering consequences for their love. Perhaps there are fights and breakdowns.

I'm curious before I put it into print though: would that detract too much from your enjoyment?

I personally like the story, and not all stories end in happiness. But I would be foolish to dismiss the true value of these posts, which is to produce desire leading to delayed gratification. (There's a reason half the posts are a cock tease). I am quite capable of holding an ending in my head, but writing another one. I could even do alternate endings if people thought that would be interesting.

Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions? Undue and unnecessarily harsh criticism? Quixotic fantasies?
